Good morning everyone,

Today we will be discussing the Fatal Four Hazards in the construction industry. The Fatal Four Hazards are the leading causes of fatalities in the construction industry, and it is important to understand and be aware of them in order to prevent accidents and injuries.

The Fatal Four Hazards are:

Falls - Falls are the leading cause of fatalities in the construction industry. They can occur from ladders, scaffolds, roofs, and other elevated work surfaces. To prevent falls, it is important to use proper fall protection equipment and follow safety guidelines when working at heights.

Struck-by Objects - Struck-by accidents occur when a worker is hit by a falling object, equipment, or vehicle. To prevent struck-by accidents, it is important to wear proper personal protective equipment, ensure that tools and equipment are secure, and avoid working in areas with heavy equipment or vehicle traffic.

Electrocution - Electrocution can occur when a worker comes into contact with live electrical wires or equipment. To prevent electrocution, it is important to use proper electrical safety procedures, avoid working near live wires or equipment, and follow safety guidelines when working with electrical tools.

Caught-In/Between - Caught-in/between accidents occur when a worker is caught, squeezed, or crushed between objects or equipment. To prevent caught-in/between accidents, it is important to use proper lockout/tagout procedures, avoid working in areas with moving equipment or machinery, and follow safety guidelines when working in confined spaces.

By being aware of these Fatal Four Hazards and taking proper precautions, we can help prevent accidents and injuries in the construction industry.

Remember, safety is everyone's responsibility. Take the time to properly assess and plan for potential hazards on the job site, use proper personal protective equipment, and follow safety guidelines to prevent accidents and injuries. Let's work together to make sure that everyone returns home safely at the end of the day.
